Punjabi Palak paneer recipe became most famous recipe in Indian recipes which is mostly served in hotels and restaurants. This recipe includes paneer cubes and thick Palak paste or spinach paste, both are primary ingredients of this dish.
Spinach called as Palak in other Indian languages, so it is called as Palak paneer mostly. also you can use home made paneer made from milk because making paneer at home is very easy. or you can buy from stores.
This Palak paneer can be served with chapati or roti or it pairs well with jeera rice. all are the best combinations with Palak paneer.

How to make Punjabi Palak paneer recipe :
Step 1 Initially take 2 bowls spinach tightly filled in bowl and should finely chopped.
In a pan add 3-4 bowls of water and let them heat for while, later add this chopped 2 bowls of spinach to the hot water, also boil for 2-3 minutes.
Later remove from flame and drain water completely from Palak.
Step 2 In a mixer jar, transfer this boiled spinach and make fine paste or puree along with below ingredients.
3-4 green chilies,
2 small ginger pieces,
4-5 garlic pods and
salt to taste.
Now, the spinach puree is ready. keep this aside
Palak paneer preparation :
Step 1 In a pan add 2 tables spoon of oil, let it heat for a minute. then add all spices like Cardamom 2 pods
Cloves 3-4
Cinnamon 1/2 inch
Bay leaf 1
Shah jeera 1/4 spoon
Mustard seeds 1/4 spoon
Fry them for a minute.
Step 2 Furthermore add one finely chopped onion, start frying till they become transparent.
Step 3 Add one finely chopped tomato and cook till it becomes fully soft. it will take 4-5 minutes. once they becomes soft mash little bit.
Step 4 Then add Turmeric powder 1/4 spoon and spinach paste, sauté about 2-3 minutes, it should be combined with spices. furthermore add required water 2 bowls, and paneer 100 grams (cubes), salt to taste.
Taste once whether the salt is enough. then close lid and cook on medium flame till it becomes thick and reached to desired consistency.
Final step :
Step 5 Then add 1/4 tea spoon garam masala powder and 2 -3 tea spoons cream (malai). combine once and remove from flame. then serve with chapati or roti or cumin rice / jeera rice.
You can garnish the top with one tea spoon cream or grated paneer while serving Punjabi Palak paneer recipe

1 Spinach - 2 bowls tightly filled
2 Paneer - 100 grams
3 Malai (cream) - 2 spoons
4 Ginger - one inch
5 Garlic cloves - 3-4
6 Green chilies - 3-4
7 Mustard seeds - 1/4 spoon
8 Cardamom - 2 pods
9 Cinnamon - 1 inch
10 Bay leaf - 1
11 Shah jeera - 1/4 spoon
12 Salt to taste
13 Water - 2 bowls
14 Oil - 2 tables spoons
15 Garam masala powder - 1/4 spoon
16 Tomato - one
17 Onion - one
18 Turmeric powder - 1/4 spoon

1 Initially in a pan add 2 glasses of water and let them heat for a while.
2 Add 2 bowls tightly filled spinach (finely chopped ) and cook about 2 minutes.
3 Remove from flame and add ice water or ice cubes to let them cool to prevent over cook. then drain water completely.
4 In the next step transfer them to mixer jar, 3-4 green chilies, 3-4 garlic cloves, 1-2 inch small ginger piece.
5 Grind them to smooth paste.
7 Further more, add one finely chopped onion, fry till becomes transparent. and then add one finely chopped tomatoes, and cook about 4-5 minutes till tomatoes becomes soft.
8 Add prepared spinach paste and turmeric powder 1/4 spoon. sauté about 2-3 minutes.
9 Add 2 bowls of water into pan & combine.
10 Add 100 grams paneer cubes and salt to taste.
11 Combine then close lid and cook on medium flame till spinach puree becomes thick gravy.
12 Eventually add 2 tea spoons of cream (malai) and 1/4 tea spoon garam masala. then combine once and remove from flame.
